Measuring our impact

This is our way to turn sustainability into something that we can grasp. By looking at our productions from these six criteria we can measure our progress and find out where we need to put in more effort.

Our six sustainability criteria

Sustainable materials

This helps us to identify whether a product has some sort of third-party proof to show that they are made from sustainable materials, or that they use a significant amount of recycled material.

Responsible Supply Chain

This allows us to monitor the sustainability of our supply chain, either through third-party supplier certification or through an acceptable code of conduct, to show that they conform with responsible business practices.

Local Impact

This helps us to track the ‘local’ impact of the products we choose, at various scales (from country-based, to local employers, to bespoke-producing artisans), in order to help our customers understand how their choices can make a difference.

Circular Economy

This allows us to track products that are made from a significant element of recycled materials and / or that can be reused, refurbished or repurposed, to show that they contribute to using fewer resources.

Sustainable Disposal

This allows us to know whether products are able to be easily recycled or composted through defined means (not just anything with the ♻ symbol), to show that they can limit the negative impacts of resource use.

Green Logistics

This helps us to track products delivered through sustainable logistics partners (such as DHL Green Logistics), or through other sustainable methods to show that the transportation impact is being reduced or at the very least, the carbon is offset.
