Partnering with Stanley/Stella

The Stanley/Stella clothing brand is a pioneer in the sustainable production of fashionable premium clothing designed. According to their philosophy, there is no other way to produce textile nowadays than with full respect for people and the planet. At Framme, we fully share the same ideology of sustainability and are delighted to announce we’ll be partnering with Stanley/Stella.

Stanley/Stella is certified with GOTS. This isn’t related to Game of Thrones, but an acronym for the Global Organic Textile Standard that includes ecological and social criteria and backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain. Wow, that was a long sentence, so better stick with other acronyms here. They also have other important sustainable certifications like OE 100, OE Blended, OEKO TEX, PETA-Approved Vegan and REACH.

The brand uses certified organic cotton and other natural or recycled materials exclusively. If you want to hear more about these certifications, our Production Lead Pauli is the right man to talk about them. We and our partner Stanley/Stella are both convinced that manufacturing in Asia is a good thing if done properly. Properly for us, this means respecting the rights of the men and women that we are employing, whilst respecting the environment. It means giving people the means to acquire new skills and to receive education and training.

In Dhaka, Stanley/Stella’s Bangladeshi 19-person team monitor their seven partner factories every day. All of which are GOTS-certified and audited by the Fair Wear Foundation, of which Stanley/Stella is a recognised member.
